About a month ago, I ran a marathon in the pouring rain.
It sucked.
Big time.
But you know what didn’t suck?
Yesterday I had planned on going for a run.
It was totally raining out.
A few months ago, I would have bagged it.
I would have used the rain as an excuse to blow off getting some exercise.
But after that marathon, running 3 1/2 miles in the rain was no big deal at all.
I felt so good once I was done.
Not just because I was finished and could get out of my water logged clothes, but because I was able to focus not on the discomfort of those 30 minutes, but the feeling I would have when I was done.
Knowing that I did it, especially when I didn’t want to, felt really, really good.
The ultimate confidence booster.
These lessons I have learned and continue to learn from running have translated into so many other areas of my life.
I know I can make it through anything as long as I focus on the goal, and not the shit I have to go through to make it there.
If you could use a little help in that department, consider registering for my next e-course.
Today is the last day to sign up at the early bird price.
$40 to start changing your life.
You can’t beat that.
I’m not saying I’m expecting you to run a marathon.
Or even run.
But getting up and moving and pushing yourself, even just for a couple of minutes has a ripple effect.
Making one little change can help you to discover how strong you really are.
You might just surprise yourself.
I know I did.
