I have been working really hard to make changes in my body — both with what I put into it and what it looks like.
I have been sitting in a ton of discomfort.
In the moments, it’s often hard.
But now the discomfort is more tolerable.
I’m not obsessing over not eating ice cream like I used to.
I’m not constantly thinking about food.
I’m can distinguish between actual hunger and emotional cravings much more clearly and easily.
I can sit through cravings, experience them, and let them pass.
I am making a lot more decisions based on what Future Susie wants rather than what Present Susie wants.
But the biggest thing I’m learning is that menopause is NOT a death sentence.
It’s not an automatic you’re fucked.
It means you have to make some changes, sure.
But those are probably changes you should be making regardless of menopause.
I’m down 18.2 pounds.
My waist — a much more significant number healthwise — is down from a danger zone 38 1/2 inches to 35 inches.
And I feel great.
I’m proud of myself.
Here’s my 11 week progress pictures!
I feel great!

You look so great! And, like me, definitely notice it in the face. Your ‘new you‘ pic reminds of me of the picture you have posted with your grandma. You have reverse-aged!

I have been eating almost 100% plant based and drinking way more water, and I think that has a lot to do with it. Thanks for the encouragement!

You look great! It’s crazy what happens to our bodies with age changes. I also changed my diet & added walking which helped me lose significant weight. My joints feel better and I do in general! Keep up the good work.
