Bit by bit, it’s working. Starting my day by making a conscious effort to show gratitude is already helping me to spend much less energy focusing on the negative.
So here are three things I’m grateful for today:
1) The anticipation of a new book, but even better, books with built in bookmarks! I love that!
(and I’m reading Outlander)
2) Our kitty (whose name none of us can agree on so we pretty much call her Kitty), who we adopted from a shelter this past Valentine’s Day. She has killed at least ten mice so far (one of the main reasons we got her).
She’s a mouse-catching machine. An assassin.
Maybe we should call her Killer.
3) A Sunday with no plans, the whole family home, beautiful weather and not feeling the need to go anywhere or do anything. Not doing. Just being.
Life is good!
