We have completed 3 weeks of the Lose to Win program.
Last week we had a delayed opening, an early dismissal, and on another day the Y was closed for half day after we had crazy winds and they lost power.
And I still managed to do 930 cardio minutes.
Yes, 930 minutes of cardio.
After week 2 I was in 3rd place in that category.
I’m hoping I did enough to move up at least one spot…
Anyway, I have now lost a total of 5 pounds.
And 4 inches in my waist.
Here are a couple things I learned:
1. Obviously a pound of muscle and a pound of fat weigh the same.
But a pound of muscle takes up less space than a pound of fat.
(Thank you Deanna).
I think I’ve turned a good amount of fat into muscle.
2. Lance Armstrong is not the only douchebag in cycling.
I have discovered that I really like spin classes.
But the hardcore cyclists in there are not very nice.
It’s seriously cutthroat in that room.
I may need to bring Number 4 with me to the next class.
3. I am starting to achieve that natural high people talk about from exercising.
Not as easy as the wine high.
But it’s really satisfying.
4. I’m really proud of myself.
Here are the pictures.
It appears as though I lost all 5 pounds from my head…
Maybe not all five, but I can already see a difference in my face 🙂
If you are on your own journey, keep it up!!!
