I bet you thought I fell off the organization/keeping my kitchen clean new-and-improved Susie wagon.
I HAVEN’T.
I just wanted to give you a quick update to keep you inspired and on the path to freedom!
It’s Friday night.
I am leaving in a few minutes for a concert that Number 4 and 5 are singing in.
I’ve had a busy day.
I had an hour work call this morning.
I did LIIFT 4 Shoulders (a Beachbody on demand workout — I’m on my second time through the whole program) and I ran 3.35 miles.
I prepped some food, did some computer work, took a shower, got dressed, went to Number 7’s class Christmas party (showered and in a cute outfit), came home, did some more work, made dinner, fed everyone, got Number 3 off to swim practice, and cleaned up while the kids had a chance to chill out before we head out to the concert.
Staying on top of things and cleaning as I go has enabled me to stay on top of other areas of my life much more easily.
So keeping the kitchen and the dining room and the laundry room neat and clean has not been at the expense of anything else.
I have still been able to get plenty of work done, and I even look put together. See?
(Sorry — blurry picture).
The laundry is done and the kids have emptied their laundry baskets.
Rather than the usual Friday night Costco pizza for dinner, I made chili, quesadillas, and salad.
We ate in the dining room, and it’s already all cleared away and cleaned up.
The kitchen is clean, the sink is empty, and dinner is out and waiting for my husband who is still not home from work yet.
I am killing it in the adulting department.
And I am coming home to a neat house.
No stress.
Nothing hanging over my head.
The new Susie is still here, and she’s kicking some ass.
I think I might finally be turning into a grown up.
