Time to regroup.

June 18, 2014 by not your average mom 1 Comment

I had a different post planned for today.

But I had one of those mornings.

One of those mornings which included a later start than I had planned,

a class party,

a three mile run,

a kid who took forever to go to sleep at nap time,

followed by the discovery that I scheduled not just one,

or two,

or three,

but four swim lessons for the same time tomorrow.

I scheduled four fucking swim lessons for four different families at 11 a.m. tomorrow.

Luckily I had therapy this afternoon.

I was 15 minutes late.

I’m always late.

To everything.

I’m tired of being late.

To everything.

I made a commitment at therapy today.

To changing my mindset and habits.

No more stress over being late.

No more running around and working up a sweat after I’ve just taken a shower.

No more using lots of kids or whatever else as an excuse.

I’m totally over that.

I have taken a couple minutes to regroup, and I’ll write that post tomorrow.

Right now, I’ve got some swim lessons to reschedule.

Number 1! Please keep me there!

I love this post. It’s not worth beating yourself up over any of that stuff.

You did A LOT today. If you read your list, you did A LOT.

Even if you were late and it wasn’t perfect. Oh well.

You should be proud of yourself.

I’m glad you made time for yourself to go to therapy and on a run! Go you!
