T-minus 39 minutes

May 19, 2014 by not your average mom 2 Comments

I have had one of those days.

One of those days where your kids are sick.

Where they are cranky because they don’t feel well.

And even crankier because they slept like crap the night before.

One of those days where one of your kids pukes all over herself.

And all over the bathroom.

And while you rush her upstairs and put her in the bathtub, and forget to lock the pukey downstairs bathroom door, one of the other kids decides to run around in her puddle of puke.

And make puke footprints all around the house.

And then another kid is screaming because he wants to put the scuba mask on.

NOW.

But he can’t fit it over his big head.

So you try to loosen the strap.

And in doing so, you totally break it.

So of course he has a huge fit.

Which prompts another child to tell you this.

“Mom, you just broke his heart and destroyed his soul.”

So there are noses running, and puke spewing, and kids screaming, and souls being destroyed.

And you don’t get to write the post you wanted to.

But it is Mom’s Night Out in 39 minutes.

Lucky! I tried to have a Mom’s Night Out last weekend with my BFFs from high school (30 years ago) and was made to feel guilty by hubby and daughter. #cantcatchabreak
