Sunday Slow Down Series

July 19, 2015 by not your average mom 9 Comments

I coached a swim meet all weekend.

I got home today and my playroom looked like this:

The rest of my house didn’t look much different.

I could have spent time picking crap up.

But instead, I watched my kids and their friends do this:

While I did this:

Hope you took some time to slow down today, too.

Thanks for posting this. I was just getting into bed feeling crabby and guilty because the house is a mess. The house might be a mess but it’s because we had an awesome weekend making summer memories and I fidnt have time to clean. Thanks for reminding me of that!

I’m trying to be kinder to myself and to stop setting impossible standards. My son won’t remember the tidy, clean house, he will remember when mummy played cricket / football / catch whatever!

If you are on food stamps and don’t have much money…..how do you have money for beer?

Really? Why do you bother commenting or even reading this blog if you are going to be hateful. She is doing a great job raising her kids and being present for them.

Maybe Mo needs a friend to deal with her jealousy issues?
