Yesterday was my aunt and uncle’s 50th wedding anniversary party. They have lived out of the country for the past 20 years, so we don’t see them very often.
This was my conversation with the kids yesterday.
“After Number 3’s baseball game we are going to Aunt G and Uncle L’s anniversary party. It’s a grown up party. There might not be a lot of other kids there.”
“Can I come to the party?” asked Number 5.
“Yes, we are all going.”
“Even me? Can I go too?” asked Number 4.
“Yes, even you.”
“Aaawww! I don’t want to go. Aren’t they DEAD yet???”
Not yet, Number 3. Not yet.
But they might be, once we show up…
