Here is a snack your kids will love.
You’ll love it, too.
Especially if you shop at Costco, because you can get all the ingredients there and make a whole ton of these.
You will need this:
2 cups oats
1 cup peanut butter (the runny natural kind)
1/ 3 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup honey
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
2 pinches salt
Here’s what you do:
Combine all the ingredients.
Put the mixture in the fridge for about a half hour cause then everything doesn’t stick to your hands.
Roll into balls after it’s chilled. You’ll have to squish it in your hand a little to get it to stick together. But if you chill it first it won’t get all over and make a huge mess.
That’s it!
Then all you have to do is stop yourself from eating all of them.
This recipe will give you about 22 bites.
Store in the fridge in an airtight container (if you manage to have any left over).
These are a great after school snack and they are also yummy for breakfast or for dessert.
My kids love them!
Enjoy!

I made a similar version of these when I was nursing my son. They were called no bake lactation bites. The difference was it called for a cup of shredded coconut and a few tablespoons of ground flax seed and brewer’s yeast. These last 2 ingredients didn’t alter the taste much and I kind of miss eating them so thanks for the reminder. I don’t need them anymore but I think I’ll whip up a batch
