Out of Gas

May 31, 2015 by not your average mom 3 Comments

If you are having trouble making exercise a part of your routine, you are in luck!

My next e-course starts on Monday, June 1st! A 6 week flexible and manageable program to fit anyone’s busy schedule!

I had a post I was going to write today, but it’s 9:58 p.m. and I haven’t even started it.

My husband has been at a conference in NYC for the last 5 days.

I’ve been pretty much on my own. It has not been easy.

And today was particularly rough.

Number 4 spent the night at a friend’s house last night and had a serious sleepover hangover.

Number 3 has about 497 bug bites on one leg and spent the entire day trying to convince me that he was on the brink of death. From bug bites.

Number 5, 6, and 7 are in a seriously annoying stage where the majority of the day is a fucking WWF smackdown and I am just separating them and sending them to separate corners of the house.

Plus, I bathed the kids in the wrong order tonight and had another penis water battle with Number 5 at bath time.

And I’m just exhausted.

I’m not complaining.

But I know what the smart thing to do is.

So I’m going to save today’s post for tomorrow, crack open a Blue Moon, and get my ass into bed.

Thank you for making me Number 1!

Yup, me too. We’re in the military and my husband left for training May 28, and won’t be back until June 18. I had a really, really crabby day today, yelled way too much, got bent out of shape because I have no help (obviously, family is 2000 miles away) and decided to get the heck out of the house because I couldn’t stand myself.

Brought my kids to dinner, and ran into a 16 year old girl who told me she also had a child, and was working 3 jobs while going to (high) school. Boy that woke me right up! I told her she should be proud of herself. And she should.

I then observed a man in his late 40s, clearly frustrated, dealing with his very handicapped adult son. And that made me realize I needed to SUCK IT THE HELL UP.

The rest of the day/night went much better. Sometimes all we need is a little perspective.

I have had one of those days today too… I then made it worse by thinking we should go for a walk… BAD IDEA! I ended up carrying 2 of the three kids home. Headed to bed to start over tomorrow 🙂

Sometimes it is just good to relax after such a hectic day! I wish tomorrow will be better than today 🙂
