No Vote = No Complaints

November 2, 2015 by not your average mom 1 Comment

Tomorrow is Election Day.

The following people are allowed to complain for the next two years after 8:30 p.m. tomorrow night:

The people who vote.

Here are the people who are not allowed to complain for the next two years. At all.

All the people who don’t vote.

The people who don’t vote tomorrow cannot complain about how high or how low their taxes are.

The people who don’t vote tomorrow cannot complain about class sizes for their children.

The people who don’t vote tomorrow cannot complain about the services that are or are not being offered to the students in town.

The people who don’t vote tomorrow cannot complain about the condition of the roads or their property values or line items in the budget or the amount of money that is (or isn’t) being spent on anything in town.

The only thing the people who do not vote tomorrow can complain about is how stupid they feel for not voting.

Don’t put yourself in a position to have no voice whatsoever.

It takes 5 minutes.

Whatever town you live in, if you have an election tomorrow, don’t be a dumb ass.

Set an example, and do your part.

Be a grown up, be responsible, and be involved.

And exercise your damn right to vote.

Not Your Average Weekend March 2-4, 2018 registration is now open.
