Lots to be thankful for.

Sometimes I’m cranky and tired and pissed,

But today I am happy and I’ve made a list,

Of some of the things for which I give thanks,

Like sneakers and running and wine,

and Spanx.

I’m thankful for all of the cuddles and Mommy’s,

And blankies and fires and slippers and pajammies.

For early risers in the office who sit on my lap,

And that Number 5, 6, and 7 still take a nap.

I’m thankful for my house that is cozy and neat,

and the 26 miles that I ran on my feet.

Thankful for a husband who is not only hot,

but who likes to do things with the children.

A lot.

 Thankful that Number 7 is over her rash,

and for the bananas Number 6 got to mash.

Thankful for helpers who like to make muffins,

And anticipation of meals with turkey and stuffins.

Thankful for memories made in the kitchen,

Thankful there’s really no reason for bitchin’.

Thankful for Number 4 who’s perfecting the mixing,

And for a Thanksgiving meal complete with all the fixings.

Thankful for family and friends and for health,

For realizing it’s not money that determines your wealth.

So from this thankful mom and her really cute crew,
