Let them eat cake.

 

I rented Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark for Numbers 2 through 5 to watch this weekend.

There were a couple parts I knew might be a little scary for Number 5 (who is 6 years old), so I gave her some warning and told her to close her eyes, especially at the end when everybody melts.

I also felt compelled to warn Number 3 (10 years old) and Number 4 (9 years old) before the brief kissing scene.

They replied with the obligatory “EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!”

Then Number 3 said, “Hey Mom? Have you ever kissed Dad?”

(the fact that he’s apparently never really seen us kiss is a topic for a whole other blog post)

Upon hearing this question, Number 4 blurted out, “WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY DID AT THEIR WEDDING???”

To which Number 3 looked at her and in all sincerity and said, “Ummmm, DUH…. they ate cake.”
