A few bumps in the road, but we made it.

April 16, 2016 by not your average mom 3 Comments

We were 20 minutes into our trip to Boston when we realized Number 6 didn’t have his blankie.

We had to go home and get it. By the time we got home, Number 4 thought she was going to puke.

An hour later we were back on the road.

So I missed checking in and getting my bib number as originally planned today, but it’s okay because I can get it tomorrow.

Instead, we checked into the hotel, unpacked the car and went down to the pool for a swim.

We  ate some dinner in our room, got our pjs on and were watching TV when Number 7 started crying.

“MOMMY! YOU FORGOT TO RUN THE MARATHOOOOONNNN!”

She was a little confused.

Our day didn’t go exactly as planned.

But we have a girls’ room, and in the end, everyone was happy.

This sounds a lot like our 28 hour road trip to California during spring break. Everything that could go wrong, did. I commend you for being able to keep it together. Lol

Oh my. It sounds just about as bad as it was for my mother trying to go on a trip with all of her kids. There were 9 of us and it is a pain. Some one always forgets something important such as a blankie that they just can’t go without, one has to go to the bathroom they all do, and someone always ends up sick. Hopefully the rest of the trip goes well. Good luck with your marathon, I am going to “run” with my sisters in May for Girls on the Run.
