Big family reunion at our house today. Some family members got here a couple days ago.
All the kids love Uncle E, who lives in Georgia.
But Number 3 has a couple of concerns.
“Mom does Uncle E know what bathing suits are?”
“Yes, he knows what a bathing suit is.”
“Does he know what waffles are?”
“Yes, he knows what waffles are.”
“Because Mom, he lives in another country, and they might not have those things there.”
Hmmm. Might be time for a little geography lesson.
Number 4 was very happy to meet her cousins from Texas for the first time. And they seemed pretty happy to meet her.
That is, until they were trying to do a skin-the-cat on the swing set.
One of the cousins was having trouble doing it.
So Number 4 made her feel much better by saying, “I can do it so well because I’m much skinnier than you.”
Okay. Geography lessons and etiquette lessons.
