Today I was doing a live training with the members of Not Your Average Tribe, and I was talking to them about setting goals and then taking massive action to get there.
Taking massive action doesn’t mean you have to do something HUGE every day.
It doesn’t mean you have to spend hours upon hours, Monday through Friday, working toward your goal.
But it does mean you have to make a plan, commit to it, and then take action repeatedly.
When you do that repeated action, you will see massive changes in your life.
Massive action also means accepting there will be times when you fail or you encounter road blocks, and when you do, YOU DO NOT QUIT.
Whatever goal anyone sets for themselves, it is guaranteed there will be obstacles, challenges, detours, and potentially major traffic jams along the way.
You gotta accept that and commit to riding it out.
When you go on a road trip and take a wrong turn accidentally, you don’t say Fuck it. We took a wrong turn. Sorry guys. We’re going home.
You get back on the highway, and you keep going.
No matter how far off track you have gone.
I don’t just coach my Tribe members to do stuff from my critical high horse.
I do all that stuff with them.
And I have a goal I have not reached.
Well, actually I have a whole slew of goals I haven’t reached.
But there is one in particular that I’m focusing on.
And the reason I haven’t reached it is because I haven’t been taking massive action.
I’ve been taking more passive action.
And I’ve been thinking about this for a couple days now, and I have formulated a plan.
I have been really inconsistent with writing blog posts in the last year or so.
And part of my plan consists of getting back to writing daily blog posts.
More specifically, my immediate plan includes writing 30 posts in the next 30 days.
So that’s what I’m going to do.
And as I was talking to my Tribe members today, I committed to starting immediately.
Not on July 1st or next Monday or after school was finished.
I said I was starting TODAY.
Even if it’s 10:29 p.m. on a Thursday night and I’m exhausted and I want to go to bed.
Cause that’s how you start taking massive action.
You don’t wait for the perfect time.
You just fucking commit.
And I have fucking committed.
So here is Post Number One.
1/30 complete.
See you tomorrow.
