Trash to treasure. Turn a headboard into a…

This is the end to one of the boys’ old bunk beds. I have four of them. I’ve had them for about four years.

I’ve been saving them for something. I just didn’t know what. Until recenly…

We took one and primed it.

Then my husband built this out of scrap wood from his shop:

I had him attach it to the headboard.

He made a couple legs out of 2×4’s he also had in the shop.

We had some paint left over from when we painted our bathroom.

It was flat paint, so we mixed it with some high gloss white to give it a little shine.

And….

Now that headboard, some scrap wood, and a couple 2×4’s are…

a cute bench!
