There’s still hope. Even Rosie lost on Star Search.

So the first taping of the Mother Bloggers tv show is in the books.

Now it’s not network tv. We don’t all meet in a studio and sit around a table like the ladies on The View.

That will happen when the show becomes a huge hit and we are all household names.

For now, we all “shoot” in our own homes, in front of a video camera.  We can all hear each other via a cell phone conference call.  Then we send our video footage to California where it is edited into a nice, neat show, and in a couple of weeks, you will all be able to see it.

So the final product will look kind of like when Oprah talks to a guest via Skype, but you will see all five of us at the same time.

Getting this first taping done has been a bit of a project.  We’ve been delayed by pesonal conflicts, and family emergencies and a hurricane.

So yesterday all the stars, planets, and kids’ activities were in alignment, and we finally managed to “meet.”

It couldn’t have gone more smoothly.

Oh, except for one tiny glitch.

None of us could hear each other.

We tried several different phone services, but they all sucked.

So all we heard when someone else spoke, was this:And I’m not exaggerating.

You couldn’t even really hear yourself.

And I was so nervous, I couldn’t remember what I wanted to say.  I don’t even know what I actually did say.

And I didn’t know when to stop talking.

And I couldn’t manage to wrap things up in a smart, witty way.

I would not say that I killed.

Let me put it this way…I think Joy Behar’s spot on the View is safe for the time being..

I call a do-over.
