The Tracker

December 10, 2015 by not your average mom 7 Comments

About six months ago I started using a bullet journal to keep all my shizzle dee dizzle organized.

I’m still figuring out how it works best for me.

A couple days ago I discovered the habit tracker. I love it.

And I’ve been thinking about 2016.

There’s some stuff I need to start doing if I want to be successful in different areas of my life.

There’s also a whole bunch of stuff that I’m not doing well (or not doing at all) because I just don’t really like to do it. But if I did it, either my kids or my marriage or my health or my finances or whatever would be better.

I was really reminded of this today when I was reading a marathon training book and I came across this line: Turn your weaknesses into strengths and your strengths into weapons.

Yes.

I say that to my kids all the time when it comes to sports. I say that to the kids I coach. The stuff you suck at and you hate to do is the stuff you really have to practice. Not the stuff you are good at. That stuff is fun and easy to practice.

So I’m going to fine tune this habit tracker (there are already things on it that I don’t really need and other stuff I realize I want to add) for the rest of December so that on January 1st, I’m totally ready to make 2016 the year that I turn weaknesses into strengths and strengths into weapons.

Wanna join me?

Thank you for this post. Ive been thinking logistics about a few things and a “habit tracker” will work for me. I had never even thought about making (basically what boils down to) a sticker chart for myself. Genius.

      You’re right! It’s totally a sticker chart!

Love this line! “Turn your weaknesses into strengths and your strengths into weapons.”

Great motivational advice, and something I will be keeping in mind in the new year 🙂

I have a question for the mommies and future mommies out there. Would you ladies consider hiring a closet organizer? If so how much would you consider paying? I’m starting my new business and just want to get some advice. Thank you!
