I’m just going to get right to the point.
In six weeks, I am hosting a weekend getaway for women, and it’s going to be really fucking awesome, and if you can, you should call and reserve your spot right now.
It’s called Not Your Average Weekend, it’s at the Interlaken Inn in Lakeville, CT, and it’s from Friday, March 18 – Sunday, March 20.
Call the Interlaken directly (1-800-222-2909) to make your reservation, now.
This has been a dream of mine since becoming a mom, but it really started about three years ago.
And then last year, it became a reality for the first time.
And it was awesome.
Okay, if you didn’t know about it or you passed on the opportunity this year, you MUST make the attempt to join us next year. NOT YOUR AVERAGE WEEKEND was amazing. I have not laughed, smiled, slept or eaten as well as I did at this event. So much fun – I feel energized, renewed and appreciated. Thank you to Susie and Maureen for a fabulous time.
Delicious food, foot massages, entertainment, Salsa lessons, dancing, karaoke and the photo booth, etc… I felt like a teenager again – responsibility free. Thank you, thank you . And thank you to the Interlaken Inn for gracious accommodations and awesome hospitality.

This year it’s going to be even be even better.
One of the biggest reasons I wanted to be able to host a weekend like this is because I think it’s so easy for us moms to lose track of and neglect ourselves. And the monotony of motherhood gets old.
Last year a big focus of the weekend was on being more active and moving out of your comfort zone. Because I think those two things are so important for moms in order to maintain their sanity.
This weekend was awesome! I had such a great time. Beautiful location, great food, and an awesome group of women. You did such a great job, can’t wait for next time!

I’m sure you want to know the cost.
For all that stuff listed above, (not including the massages), here is what it will cost you:
- $335 per person for a quad room
- $365 per person for a triple
- $395 per person for a double
- $525 per person for a single
You read that correctly. And that includes service charges, room, and sales tax.
For that ridiculously low price, you get two nights, two breakfasts, one lunch, two dinners, yoga and salsa classes, a cooking class, a hair and makeup class, BOOZE, entertainment, a ton of fun, you don’t have to cook, you don’t have to clean, you don’t have to get up at the ass crack of dawn, you don’t have to do one fucking thing you don’t want to do for two days.
The accommodations are awesome, the staff is amazing, and the food is delicious.
Don’t want to do yoga or salsa or go for a walk?
You don’t have to!
Don’t want to go to a cooking class/demonstration?
You don’t have to!
You can exercise, you can sleep in, you can catch a buzz, you can watch TV, you can get a massage, you can do a little shopping, you can socialize, you can chill in your room, you can dance, you can sit, you can sing karaoke, you can just observe…
You can do whatever the hell you want.
You can pick and choose what you do.
But all that stuff is available for you .
It’s my gift to you for supporting me.
Oh yeah, and one more thing.
This is a non-profit weekend. ANY PROFIT FROM THE WEEKEND GOES DIRECTLY TO THE DANA-FARBER CANCER INSTITUTE!

Spots are limited, so don’t miss out.
I saw a woman who attended this weekend last year right before Christmas.
She grabbed my face in her hands and said to me,
Thank you. You changed my life.
Yep.
That’s how good of a weekend it is.
See you on the 18th.
You Fed Me.
This weekend was filled with the amazing energy of dozens of women who were all there to relax and enjoy. No other reason, no other motive. We’re each going through our own journey and each deserve a chance to just let go of all responsibilities, all obligations, all expectations. It was the first time I’ve experienced true camaraderie of that size since middle school sleepovers – and no one froze my bra this time
With the delicious menu, incredible service, cloth napkins and ability to eat with a fork and knife while the food was still hot and not having to nag others to finish their veggies while cleaning up spills and then having to wash dishes – you fed me.
With the wonderful lineup of activities that we could try (or could not) from pole dancing to salsa lessons and yoga, you fed my sense of adventure.
With the camaraderie of the women and the ability to bring moms of all ages, shapes, sizes and stages together – you fed my spirit.
With the supreme comfort and coziness of the Interlaken Inn and the open, non-judgmental and fun attitude of both Susie, Mo and everyone else there – you fed my soul.
From the karaoke and dancing in my yoga pants (no need to get all dolled up?!), you fed me fun.I can only see great things coming from this continued event, and from you, and cannot wait until the next weekend!
