Last week I get a message from a struggling mom, and then a couple days ago, I replied to her in this post.
As soon as I published that post, I started checking the Facebook page, looking for helpful comments from readers.
Initially, there were no comments. It took a few minutes for them to come.
I was worried. What if no one supported this poor girl? How would she feel then?
And if no one was going to reply, had I said enough to help her?
And then one comment came. And then another. And another…
I have no idea why Lost chose me to talk to.
But what I do know is that the comments all of the readers here left for her have really helped.
Probably more than you know.
And I just want to say thank you.
Thank you for your support and your encouragement and your compassion and your understanding.
I know this place isn’t perfect. I know I piss people off sometimes.
But somehow, I managed to create a place for a struggling mom to come and not only feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable, but to be supported by many, many women.
And if that’s the only thing that comes from this blog, that’s enough.
A lot.
I have been talking to “Lost” ever since that post was published.
She is one of the strongest women I have ever met. (Who I haven’t actually met).
I don’t know how this situation will ultimately play out, but I want you all to know that you have helped to make Lost feel, well, found.
Supported.
Safe.
For the first time in a long time.
So that’s all.
I just wanted to say thanks.
I love this blog. I love coming here every day. I love having you all to talk to and support me.
You have made my big family even bigger.
And you have helped to make this a place that actually makes a difference.
I’m really, really grateful.
Thank you.
See you tomorrow.
Namaste 😉

If it’s appropriate, and if you two are still in touch, please let us know how Lost is doing in a few months’ time — I really hope that she will be able to get to a better place, as she sounds like a fighter.
