I’m trying something new.

I have a goal of going live Monday through Friday on the NYAM FB page, just for a couple minutes each day. 

I started today.

Because one of the things I really want to do in 2021 is start a podcast.

And this is a way for me to get going on that, just a couple minutes at a time, without worrying about the technical side of things and just taking fucking action.

I’ve been reading The Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People, and one of the things Stephen Covey says — which I love — is this “all things are created twice.”

The first creation is imagining an idea in your head.

The second creation is making that idea a reality.

Taking action.

This podcast has been in first creation mode for a couple years.

I have been waiting for the perfect time to start it.

But there is no perfect time to start anything. 

Then there is that whole issue of not starting anything until you are ready to do it perfect-ly.

Nothing is ever perfect the first time around. 

NOTHING! 

Nobody does anything as well the first time they do it as they do two years later.

It’s through the doing that you get better.

Not through the planning.

Don’t get me wrong. Planning is very good. It’s imperative if you really want to be successful.

But if you never take action a plan is totally useless.

So I’m winging it for now. I’m taking action very imperfectly.

But at least I’m taking action.

So here is the first edition of my yet-to-be-named podcast.

It’s three minutes long. 😂😂😂😂

That’s a little shorter than most podcast episodes, but sometimes you don’t need a lot of time to get a message across.

Also, I really don’t know what the hell I’m doing or where I’m going with this yet, but that’s how this whole blog started out.

And that’s working out pretty well.

So I’m just gonna go with it and see where it takes me.
