One of the things that can make motherhood so challenging for many of us is that we get pregnant, and we gain a lot of weight.
And then we have the baby, and we haven’t lost all the weight we gained, and we are trying to adjust to the new schedule and the needs of a new baby, and showering moves farther down the list of priorities and wearing clothes we feel good in moves even farther down the list.
Because our cute pre-baby clothes don’t fit, and we don’t want to buy clothes in a bigger size because we are either stuck on the number on the label or we want to wait until we have lost a few more pounds, and so you just keep wearing your maternity clothes and you buy some yoga pants because they are comfortable and they are elasticized and you can justify purchasing them because they will motivate you to work out.
Then you have another baby, and it gets a little bit worse, and before you know it, you just stop even trying.
Then you want to try, but you have been in this routine of throwing on your new momiform, that you don’t even know where to start.
And THIS is why I love Get Your Pretty On.
Get Your Pretty On helped me to do just that. To feel pretty again, and to be able to get dressed very quickly and easily, and not go into my closet and say, “I have absolutely nothing to wear.”
What is Get Your Pretty On?
It’s basically an online personal stylist.
It says it’s a “challenge” but it’s not really. The challenge lies in making taking care of yourself a priority again.
You receive a list of clothing items to make a very cute and versatile capsule wardrobe with 21 different outfit combinations so getting dressed is super easy. You don’t have to think about anything.
You don’t have to purchase all the items on the list, and many of them you probably already have in your closet.
This program gives you that little boost, the help, the kick in the pants to start getting dressed again.
Here are two outfits inspired by the Summer 2016 challenge which just opened a couple days ago:
I wore these two outfits to a baseball game and to a school function. I felt great, and I spent like one minute getting my clothes together, because that’s what the style challenge does for you.
I already had the jean jacket, sandals, necklace, and sunglasses in the outfit on the left. In the outfit on the right I already had the shoes, the purse, the top, and the earrings.
I got the white shorts at TJ Maxx for $19.99, and I bought the black maxidress at Costco for $17.99!!!
The other thing I love about these challenges is that items from the spring challenge are used in the summer challenge, so it’s not like every season you have to come up with a completely new capsule wardrobe. They all overlap!
If you want to start looking cute again I seriously encourage you to give this a try. It has been life changing for me, and there’s a good chance it will be for you, too.
