My oldest turned 17 today.

It’s no joke when people say it goes by so fast.

He was just one year old not that long ago, post birthday cake and feeling a little worn out.

2007 and 2008, the Sesame Street Years, were birthdays Number 2…

… and birthday number 3.

Back in the days when I spent time making cakes.

2011 was the superhero era.

2012 – Fancy, homemade cakes have now gone by the wayside.

2014 – joint celebration with Number 5 and 6.

2015 – 10 years old. The Baseball Years.

June 2019 – 14 years old. Not a little kid anymore.

2020 – 15 years old. More man than boy.

June 2021 – 16 years old. First birthday in the new house.

June 2022 – 17 years old!

We celebrated before he had to head off to work.

Thank God for Number 3’s girlfriend!

She made an ice cream cake. It was SO GOOD.

We used Number 6’s birthday candles from last week (he turned 12 – haven’t gotten to that blog post yet) and made the number closest to 17. 🤷‍♀️

It was a nice, laid back celebration.

I can’t believe he’s 17.
