Today was a great day. And old fashioned, slow summer day.
Number 7 and I had a date with good friends of ours.
We packed a picnic and headed up to Kent Falls, in Kent, CT.
We went for a hike.
We stopped along the way to take pictures
and to take a little dip in the water.
After we were done with our hike, the girls got their suits on.
They found some sticks
and they dug in the mud and collected rocks.
The moms just took their shoes off and dipped our feet in the water.
I haven’t walked in the fresh, clear, cool water of a waterfall in a long, long time.
We all had a great time.
And I think we’d all agree…
It was the perfect kick off to summer.

Well done! I made it my mission last summer to visit as many swimming holes and waterfalls as possible when my triplets were home. This year, they are going to camp for six weeks and I’m wondering how to fill my days. Don’t think the waterfalls will be as much fun without them.

I use to play in rivers in the summer all the time. Fond memories!
