It’s baseball season which means that Number 4 has been nagging me incessantly for the past three weeks about setting up a lemonade stand at her brothers’ baseball games to make money.
I find her persistence both admirable and really fucking annoying.
I told her I would help her out, but that I wouldn’t front her any of the money she needed for the start up costs.
I figured that would buy me at least a month.
She immediately started her campaign to find investors.
Within hours, she had convinced her grandparents to give her $20.
And she persuaded all of her siblings to invest their money and in return, she’d either give them free food, or a 100% return on their investment.
24 hours later, she had collected over $38.
I guess I underestimated her.
Tonight, she officially opened for business for the season, and she made back enough money to pay off her expenses and pay back her investors.
I was thinking I should hire her as my apprentice, but now that I see how much money she raked in, I’m thinking maybe she should be my boss.

Wow–I’m sure you’re proud of her! Way to go #4!
