We’ve been getting our Christmas tree at Stew Leonard’s for about 10 years.
When the kids were younger we would pick out the tree and then walk through the Christmas shop.
They have tons of ornaments and Christmas decorations.
We don’t usually buy anything, but we look around.
After checking out all the decorations, we would go inside and see Santa.
We haven’t seen Santa for a couple years.
A few years ago Stew’s added a bench out in the Christmas Shop.
So we started taking “bench” pictures, too.
After we take pictures we get ice cream and then take a walk through the store.
Stew’s has lots of cool things for kids to see.
We still have almost the same routine.
I don’t agonize over the perfect Christmas tree.
Once you get all the lights and decorations and stuff on it doesn’t really matter.
This year I had nothing to do with the tree selection.
The dude from Stew’s showed the kids two different trees.
Then they voted and decided on the winner. ๐
The kids outgrew Santa’s lap a while ago, and now they are outgrowing the bench.
They had a hard time squeezing onto it this year.
We didn’t get a perfect picture.
But what I see in all these pictures is my kids being happy.
Of all the pictures I took this year at Stew’s, this one is by far my favorite:
It sums up life with my kids.
It’s a little bit messy, a little bit uncomfortable, a little bit tight, and it’s a challenge to get everyone coordinated.
But with all the messiness and imperfections, we are happy.
Especially when we are all together. ๐งก
