I have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
I’m thankful for healthy kids.
I’m thankful my husband has made almost a complete recovery after his accident, and I am super duper extra thankful for his new job.
I’m thankful he already got invited to the company Christmas party and for the first time in a long time, maybe since we were dating, my husband and I are going to a fancy Christmas party where I actually have to wear a dress.
I’m thankful for my parents who are going to have to come babysit for our fancy Christmas party date night next week.
I’m thankful for my coaching job and for a warm house and for a fire in the fireplace and for a seriously full stomach.
I’m thankful for wine and hazelnut coffee and apple pie and elasticized waistbands.
I’m thankful for James Spader because I’m seriously obsessed with the Blacklist right now.
I’m thankful for strong legs that love to run (even though they may not run very fast).
I’m thankful for Lauren at Eurolux Salon and Day Spa because I am still as in love with my haircut as I was when I first got it six months ago.
I’m thankful for the ladies in my March 2015 e-course who have become like family and who help keep me sane.
I’m thankful that Number 4 and 5 love school and that Number 3 made the travel basketball team (well, sort of on the basketball because I had no idea what I was getting myself into with that one).
I’m thankful for every time Number 6 tells me he loves me so much.
I’m thankful that Number 7 is the world’s best sleeper and that she pretty much potty trained herself.
I’m thankful for everyone who has helped me and my family over the past three years so that we were able to stay in our house and keep the kids fed and clothed and happy.
I’m thankful for the ladies who help me out giving the kids rides to baseball and basketball and swimming and chorus and band. I’d be screwed without you.
I’m thankful for Yankee candles and Christmas lights and flannel pajamas and fuzzy slippers.
I’m thankful I have the next three days off and lots of firewood and a big stack of magazines from my mom to read over the next 72 hours.
I’m thankful for the prospects of the future and what I’ve learned from the past.
And I’m really, really thankful for this blog and for everyone who shows up here every day.
