The other ladies on Mother Bloggers and I have been brainstorming ideas for topics for the show. One of the subjects thrown out there was married sex before and after kids.
Here’s my take on the whole thing:
Married sex before kids is awesome.
Married sex after kids is…
Wait, there’s married sex after kids? Am I still really supposed to do that? I thought people were joking when they said those four words consecutively in one sentence…
Ok, I don’t know about you, but with respect to the issue of children, marriage, and sex, this pretty much sums it up for me…
Sex before children:
The Valentine’s Day before we got married, this is what I did for my husband…
The dining room table was located in front of a big picture window, so I moved the whole freaking thing into the living room and put it in front of the fireplace. I made a roaring fire. I lit about 12,000 candles.
I made a lobster (yes, lobster) dinner, and I put on this sexy little number I had bought especially for that night at Victoria’s Secret. And then I waited for him to walk in the door.
I think we managed to finish dinner, but I’m not sure we made it out of that room ;).
Sex after children:
If my husband shaves, I take a shower, and we both manage to stay awake past 9:00, then it’s on!
And when I say “it”, I pretty much mean this:
Bow chicka bow, bow 😉
