Sometimes we need some reminders.
So here are a few of them…
You don’t owe anyone an explanation for any of the decisions you make in your life.
You don’t have to justify anything to anyone.
It’s okay if you want to lose weight and transform your body and document your transformation.
It’s also okay if you are fifty pounds overweight and you have no desire to make any changes to your body at all.
It’s okay if you are torn about what to do with your kids this fall.
And it’s okay to not be.
It’s okay to be really passionate about feeding your kids organic, home cooked meals.
It’s also okay if you aren’t.
It’s okay if you sent your kids to camp this summer.
And it’s okay if there is no way in hell you would do that.
It’s okay if you let your kids watch ten hours of Tiktoks today.
And it’s okay if you have a one-hour-of-screens-per-day rule.
And you actually enforce it.
It’s okay if you are sending your kids to school in September. If there is school to send them to.
And it’s okay if you aren’t.
It’s okay if having a super neat house is important to you.
And it’s okay if your house is a disaster and you have no plans to do anything about it any time soon.
It’s okay if your kids’ hair has been brushed and styled every day so far this summer.
And it’s okay if your child is in the early stages of dreadlocks.
It’s okay if you require your kids to read daily.
And it’s okay if the last time they cracked open an actual book was sometime in May.
Of 2019.
Just kidding. If your kids haven’t read since May of 2019, that’s probably not okay.
It’s okay to make a decision that’s in your best interest, even if it makes other people uncomfortable.
It’s okay to trust your gut and do what you know in your core is the right thing to do.
Even if nobody understands.
There is no singular right path for all of us.
There is no singular right journey for all of us.
There is no single right decision for all of us.
Except for the one that sits right in your gut.
And that’s the only thing you really gotta be okay with.

I totally agree with all, except that’s its not ok to send your kids to school in September. The reason being is it is a sure fire way to infect numerous children and families unneccessisarly and possibly death. To suggest it is ok is irresponsible.

I think it’s okay if you need to work outside the home to keep a roof over your family’s head or you are an essential worker and you have no other choice.

Here’s a scenario that looks feasible:

It’s NOT OK to come to a positive blog and make comments that make people feel bad cause they NEED their children in school for reasons some may never understand. And it’s ok that they will never understand. Thanks for the reminder Susie. Staying sober through all of this is truly a miracle 😘😘😘
