It was totally worth it.

February 23, 2014 by not your average mom Leave a Comment

Last weekend I wrote about how I procrastinated and put off this coaching course I needed to take to coach a meet and had to scramble at the last minute to take the course and then after all that the meet was cancelled and so I vowed to never procrastinate again.

But at least I was ready for the next meet.

Which was today.

Or I thought I was.

I went to print out my deck pass yesterday.

It wasn’t there.

And after more scrambling, I learned that I still had two more fucking courses to take.

I learned this last night at 9:00.

One of the courses was only an hour long.

The other one?

4 hours.

I could have bagged it.

But I was not going to let my kids down.

And so,

at 3:30 this morning,

I finished.

I took a quick nap for an hour and a half,

and then I got up,

took a shower,

and drove to the meet.

I’m exhausted.

Beyond exhausted.

But the kids were happy.

And they kicked some ass.

And I got to see it.

Up close.

So it was totally worth it.

When Number 4 is in college, I will tell her how I pulled an all-nighter.

When she was 7.

Just so I could take this picture with her.
