The school district we live in does something pretty cool every year for the seniors.
On one of the last days of school, they participate in the Grad Walk.
All the seniors wear their caps and gowns and load onto busses at the high school.
From there they go to the elementary school and the middle school where all the K-8 students and teachers in the district are lined up in the hallways.
And the seniors walk through all the halls.
They get to see their former teachers, and their former teachers get to see them all grown up.
They get to see their former school resource officers.
They get to see their siblings.
They get to see elementary students who they know and love and who look up to them.
The elementary and middle school students get to see their siblings friends and girlfriend and boyfriends.
And they get to see their former bus drivers.
I love that my town does this. I think it’s the coolest thing the district does.
These full circle moments don’t happen very often, and I’m so thankful that my kids are able to be a part of this pretty special experience.

Hi Susie, what a great post. They unfortunately don’t do anything like that up here in Canada 🇨🇦. Really enjoy your writing, have a great weekend. Holly
