Anyone who knew me before I got married and had kids knows that I actually have a decent sense of style.
But as happens with so many of us moms, as soon as I had kids, I stopped taking care of myself.
Life was so crazy and the last thing I wanted to deal with between the breast feeding and the diapers and the potty training and the cooking and the temper tantrums and laundry and the lack of sleep was my appearance.
Then I had gained so much weight that I just totally stopped caring.
A couple months ago Betsy Boo’s Boutique serendipitously contacted me about collaborating with them. It was serendipity because I have lost 17 pounds (so far) and I don’t have a lot of clothes that fit me and I didn’t have much money go buy new clothes.
And you know how it goes.
Once you start taking care of the inside of your body, you start wanting to take care of the outside of you body, too.
So it was perfect timing.
Betsy Boo’s Boutique lets me pick out some clothes every other month, and then they compensate me for writing a blog post about my experience.
So it’s like a win-win-win-WIIIINNNNNN for me!
In June, I ordered set #425 — The Aqua Floral Sleeveless Top, White Tank, and Earrings, the Ivory Ginelle Report Crochet Sandal, the Josie Dark Wash Skinny Jeans, and the Black Cassie Espadrille Wedge Sandal.
Here it all is:
And here is most of that all together — the jeans, top and earrings, along with a pair of my own shoes.
What I wanted to show you in this post is how I paired some of the items I got from with stuff I already had in my closet.
I have a bunch of cool outfits even with my very limited wardrobe!
To change up the look of the floral top, I paired it with some white skinny jeans and the same wedges I wore before.
It’s like this a lot!
Then I went classic black and white, and paired a black and white striped top from my closet with the same white skinny jeans and the black cassie wedge espadrille sandals from Betsy Boo’s.
Here are the Josie skinny jeans, the crochet sandals, and a top I already had in my closet.
For a different look I folded up the bottom of the Josie skinny jeans. I like them folded up, too!
For another different look, I changed the shoes to the wedges I already had.
And for one final outfit, I went super classic.
I wore the Josie dark wash jeans, the black cassie wedges, the white tank top that came with the floral set, and a white oxford I already had.
I love this outfit!
This is what I really like about Betsy Boo’s Boutique.
They have trendy pieces if you are looking for something new to wear, but they also have some classic pieces.
I was able to make lots of cute looks by combining a few new pieces with a few old ones, and I am so thankful to be working with them!
I feel as awesome on the outside as I do on the inside.
Thank you Betsy Boos!!!
