Forgot I was human for a minute.

I just spent 20 minutes looking for a headband and growing increasingly angrier with each passing moment I wasted looking for it.

I am having one of those mornings where nothing has gone the way I had envisioned it would, where Number 7 is relentless in wearing me down, and where it’s not even 9:30 and I have lost my patience more times than I’d like to in the course of one week.

My husband has been in the hospital for three days.

I have been (barely) holding things together.

I had a post I really wanted to write today.

But the morning just hasn’t allowed for that.

I have turned things into end-of-the-world proportions.

When I eventually found my headband after a mini freak out, I finally came to my senses.

And I put things into perspective.

Under the circumstances, I am doing a pretty good job.

There is only so much I can accomplish in a day.

I need to reset the clock.

The post can wait.

So can a couple other things.

Please join me in taking a moment.

In slowing down.

In putting things into perspective.

Take some time to smell the roses today.

Whatever that thing is that just can’t wait?

It can.
