You guys know I have a membership group called HOME BACE (soon to be renamed) which I offer on the back end of my Empowerment Academy digital course.

HOME BACE (HB) has 46 members in it.

They have been my support network during this divorce process which has been the hardest thing I’ve gone through in my adult life.

I’m supposed to be the one guiding and leading these women, but very often they guide and lead and support me.

They are also the funniest, most bad ass group of women I know.

So a little over a week ago I received a pm from one of my members.

I scroll down.

And I see this picture.

WHAT. THE FUCK.

Okay so let me just explain something.

In 2016 I was on vacation with my parents and my kids in North Carolina.

And I wrote this blog post.

It was like five sentences long.

And I shared this picture in it as a goof because my hair looked so ridiculous.

And somehow it ended up being used in a bullshit post on a bullshit site.

So I told this member (who has become a friend) she had to share it with the group. You know, just for a laugh.

She did.

Everyone got a kick out of it.

Fast forward to last Monday.

Last Monday was a particularly difficult day for me.

Like really hard.

And that’s when things took a very unexpected turn in my HB membership.

Another HB member decided to print out my psycho hair picture.

AND SHE DID THIS:

This prompted another member to take me to work with her, too.

At least I knew they were listening to the things I was telling them. 😂😂😂

Then I went to the gym!

I went to Starbucks.

AND THAT’S WHEN I BECAME FLAT SUSIE. 😂😂😂

Flat Susie went to a birthday party.

She went to work with another member.

Flat Susie went on a walk.

Flat Susie kicked someone’s ass on the treadmill.

And then, Flat Susie became a whole person.

AND A SUPER HERO.

I don’t know where Flat Susie is going to show up next, but I’m looking forward to finding out.

And I just need to give a shout out to my HB Ladies who are the best fucking crew of badass, supportive women I know. They turned a really tough week into one where I laughed harder than I have in a long, long time.

They have helped me in more ways than I can ever adequately express.

And we are all growing together.
