The other day the kids watched Good Boy.  It’s a pretty dumb movie about a dog from outer space who visits Earth to verify the rumor that dogs have not, in fact, taken over the planet.

But the dogs can talk, and the kids think it’s funny.

There is a scene where one of the dogs has a furball or something stuck in his throat, and in an effort to cough it up, he says something nonsensical which sounds like “There’s a feef in my ckhoughchk.”

The kids have taken a liking to this stupid line from the movie.  But, over time, it has morphed into “There’s a feef in my cock.”

And now they can’t stop saying it. Repeatedly.  They are stuck on this little line, and now it’s pretty much on repeat in our house.

They walk past each other, and instead of saying “What are you doing?”, it’s “Hey, there’s a feef in my cock.”

I tell them to go brush their teeth, and as they are walking up the stairs, I hear, “Okay Mom. There’s a feef in my cock.”

Going out to play, it’s “Do you want to practice soccer?  There’s a feef in my cock.”

I don’t think they even know that they are saying it anymore.  And now I’m saying it.  Not out loud, but it’s become stuck in my head too.

I wasn’t too worried about it until last night.  It had mainly been Numbers 2, 3, and 4 saying it.

They have no idea what they are actually saying.  I considered explaining to them the meaning of the word but decided against it.  I figured that would only make it a much more attractive word for them to say.  So my hope was that I would not make it into a big deal, and that after a while, they’d eventually just stop.

I really don’t need to add the word cock and its meaning to Number 4’s vocabulary arsenal.

But then last night there was a run of “feef in my cocks”.  When I was giving the baby a bath, Number 5 came into the bathroom and asked me, “Mommy, does Number 7 have a feef in her cock?”

Ugh.

Preschool starts for Number 5 in 15 days.  I’ve got 2 weeks to make this go away.

I reeeeaaaallly don’t want to be the mom of the girl who has sand in her vagina and the girl with a feef in her cock.

I need to go do some strategizing.

Oh yeah, and there’s a feef in my cock.
