So a couple days ago this was my status on the facebook page:
Big time.
But you know I’m just jealous.
Before I got married and had all these damn kids that have drained every last cent out of my bank account, I went on vacation twice a year.
Puerto Rico in the winter, and North Carolina in the summer.
Every year.
Without fail.
I wasn’t on facebook then, but if I was, I would have been posting the crap out of pictures too.
So I don’t really hate you.
Well, maybe a little bit.
Anyway, after I posted that comment, someone was nice enough to point out something out to me, with this comment:
They said the same thing about your dome.
If you’re new here, you may not know about the dome.
Or The Bubble, as we affectionately call her.
Yes.
I refer to her as a person.
She’s basically a big bounce house that goes over our pool.
She’s bright and cheerful.
She has brought joy to all ages.
We love her.
Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but…
I have some bad news.
Or good news.
If you’re a hater.
Someone didn’t love our Bubble as much as we did.
Someone who works for the town.
And she sent us a letter.
A letter involving the word temporary.
In quotation marks.
So…
We laid our dear Bubble to rest last week.
Hopefully we’ll get this all worked out, and she’ll be back in the fall.
Until then, I have a couple words of advice if you are in the market to buy a home.
Forget checking out the school systems in that town.
And don’t worry about the taxes.
Instead, find some people who are doing work on their house.
And knock on their door.
Ask them about the building and zoning departments in that town.
And if their immediate reaction is to exhale deeply or roll their eyes…
Well…
Run to your car, get the hell out of there, and don’t look back.
The Bubble
2012-2013
May she rest in peace and remain in our hearts forever.

That sucks do you think the township just came out or did someone call. Because if they called I think you need to introduce your crew to mischief night lol.

Are you serious? Do they have nothing better to do? Just to put this in perspective, I called the town to see if I needed a permit to pave/repair our driveway. They said, “No. You can pave your entire lot with asphalt if you wanted.” I can make my house ugly by paving an acre, but you can’t have a bubble?
I am going to miss seeing the bubble:-(

Hopefully she’ll be back in the fall…

That just sucks. I liked seeing it when dropping off at WMS. I was jealous of it though….

Oh no, that is so not fair. Remember, Karma does not have an expiration date .. they will get theirs!

Oh my! The bubble (dome) is so awesome. I’m sad that you said you had to take it down. I agree you should find out what the building codes are where you’re looking to move.. Love the pics of the kids swimming under the bubble. So neat!
