Better Than Nothing

September 3, 2019 by not your average mom Leave a Comment

Today has been a really productive day, but a few unexpected things came up which sorta threw me off course for a little bit.

Today is also the first day of swim practice, and that presents a whole other set of challenges including:

  1. Having 4 kids on the team in 4 different groups at 4 different times.
  2. Needing to have dinner totally ready by 2:30 pm.
  3. Needing to be way more organized than I was last week at this time and all summer, actually.
  4. Needing to have post-practice food ready for the kids to eat after practice and/or on the way home.

We are also having our entire septic system replaced and that started this morning at 6:45 a.m., and I found out that this was happening this morning at…

6:45 a.m.

Long story.

Anyway, I had people knocking on my door unexpectedly throughout the day and things just went a little differently than I anticipated when I woke up this morning.

And now it’s 8:15 pm and I’m sitting here at the pool and I haven’t gotten to today’s blog post yet.

That’s partially because of these two:

And I declared on August 31st that I was taking massive action again in September and this was going to be a month of 30 blog posts in 30 days.

So while this isn’t much of a blog post,

this is today’s blog post.
