After a bunch of gross, rainy days, the weather in CT today was beautiful.
It was 34° (F) when I woke up. Perfect running weather.
I went for a (not fast) run.
I love going for a run first thing on the weekends because the roads are so quiet.
Then we headed to Wickam Park in Manchester, CT to watch Number 4 run in the middle school cross country state championships.
It’s just outside of Hartford. It was a spectacular fall day.
This is Number 4’s 3rd and final year running this race.
There are a couple hundred kids in it.
It’s a little bit crazy.
Number 4 did great.
She finished 27th overall. Her goal was to be in the top 50, so mission accomplished.
We went home.
I took a nap.
Dinner was all the leftovers from the week.
Then we watched an episode of Little House on the Prairie.
It was a really good day.
ALICIA says
WAY TO GO!!!! Not only making her goal, but crushing it! As a coach of xc, there is NOTHING better than race day! Congrats and run on!
