A Clean Slate

February 7, 2020 by not your average mom 3 Comments

I spread myself way too thin in the last couple months, and it resulted in me just barely keeping my head above water.

And when I say barely, I’m not exaggerating.

My house fell into disarray.

My parents could see I was close to drowning.

So they came up to the house today and helped me get caught up.

My dad vacuumed the shit out of my house.

My mom helped in the kitchen.

(Did I mention she’s in the middle of chemo and radiation?)

I finally got all the Christmas decorations organized and put away neatly.

I’m back on top of the laundry.

I cleaned up my office.

I cleaned up my room.

My environment is no longer cluttered.

Now I can declutter my brain.

Also, my parents are so awesome.
