I get contacted fairly regularly by people, asking me to share Kickstarter or Go Fund Me or whatever campaigns.
Very rarely do I do anything with them.
VERY RARELY.
I’d love to be able to help everyone out, but I just can’t.
Every once in a while, though, I come across something that really strikes a chord with me.
If you’ve been following me for a few years, you know in the summers of 2014 and 2015 my husband had two major surgeries that were completely unexpected. We were in a terrible financial situation, were on food stamps and foreclosure proceedings had begun on our house.
It was a very, very stressful time for us. To put it mildly.
So when a friend of mine contacted me about this campaign, I could relate.
Big time.
Here is the story in a nutshell.
My good friend has a very dear friend.
The very dear friend has son who is married and the father of a young child, and his wife is pregnant with their second child.
The son recently discovered he has a heart defect which is preventing him from working until he has surgery to correct the defect.
The family is not prepared for this loss of income (since the son is the primary breadwinner in the family). They are not prepared for him to not be working now, and they are not prepared for him to not be able to work while he recovers.
They have no reserves for this emergency.
I can relate to this situation.
I can tell you is sucks.
BIG TIME.
This family is looking for a little support to get through the next three months.
I can also relate to the relief of not having to stress about how you are going to pay your mortgage and put food on the table when your husband is unexpectedly out of commission for a couple months.
So I am asking you to help them out.
I would LOVE to get them up to their goal.
Today.
The dear friend of my good friend has not asked her to share this. My good friend did not ask me to write a blog post about this.
She simply asked me to share it on my personal Facebook page.
But I want to share it here.
I want to help this family.
I want them to wake up tomorrow without the added stress of wondering how they are going to pay their bills.
Because that is not a good feeling.
Trust me. I KNOW.
I want my good friend’s dear friend to feel confident that her son won’t have to worry as he recovers.
They are not asking for much.
If you can’t remember the last time you paid it forward, TODAY IS YOUR CHANCE TO CHANGE THAT.
If you haven’t performed a random act of kindness today, NOW IS YOUR CHANCE TO CHANGE THAT.
Please help this family!
They are already half way there.
Let’s get them to their goal tonight.
I just paid it forward.
Who else is going to join me?
If you can’t pay it forward by making a donation, please pay it forward by sharing this post.
Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person.
