It’s late and I’m so far behind, and I spent the day at an agricultural fair with the kids and it’s been kinda crazy, so I didn’t give you the heads up that I had planned on, but some exciting things have happened for me recently, so let me just catch you up.
First, my site got a makeover.
Like a big one!!!
And it’s not where it needs to be yet — there are some kinks to work out, some things that need to be changed, and a whole lot of work I need to do to get it to where it’s completely done, but I had a last-minute development here so we kind of rushed things and the new site went live today.
It’s king of a big change, especially for those of you who have been around for a while, but I LOVE it.
So please check things out. And I’d love your (mostly positive 😉 ) feedback.
Secondly, the reason for the rush to push the site live before it was completely finished…
Tomorrow morning I’m going to be on the local news station — WTNH TV in New Haven (CT) — in a back-to-school segment on ways you can save money on school supplies (and other stuff for school).
It kind of came out of nowhere and although I’ll be on at 7:15 a.m. on a Sunday morning and probably like three people will be awake at that time, we wanted to get the new site live by then in case the segment gave me some bigger exposure.
I’m kind of excited because I’ve never been on a news show, so at the very least it should be interesting.
The last thing is a fun new thing for me…
If you check out the new site, you’ll see it’s much more organized, easier to navigate, and now I have a “merch” section. And now in addition to t-shirt designs, I’ve got coffee mugs! All this stuff isn’t up on the site yet, (it should be there next week) but I just wanted to show you two of my newest designs!
They are both positive and hopefully a little inspirational for you first thing in the morning.

Seriously…this is the BEST updated blog website I have ever seen! It is VERY organized, very well planned and thought out sections and guidance to anything we need to get. I absolutely love it! Nothing to criticized! Best of luck on awesome new journey! And keep on being true to yourself! We all needs our reminders…you keep on reminding us all of our flaws and nothing is fucking perfect. Get it? Good. I’m still watching your blog every single day! Keep them coming! Hugs! (P.S. the photo of your kids inside Costco…that was the BEST one that had me laughing so hard about a spilled drink on poor number 6…hope she is not giving revenge on spilled drink! I love your site. Advice please… Should a woman who has 7 kids, is unhappy and not enjoying it at all, dreams all day about leaving, stay for the sake of her kids in the hope it’ll get better? Please get back to me
