I have two pretty sick kids.
One with a nasty chest cough thing and another puking her guts out, so the post I wanted to write will have to wait until tomorrow.
So a couple quick things:
1.Every month the Top Mommy Blogs site resets its votes back to zero and the totals for the month start again. So if you wouldn’t mind, take a couple seconds to vote for me because right now I’m in second place and that totally blows.
2. I’m having a fundraising party at my house next Saturday to (hopefully) raise the remainder of my fundraising commitment for the Boston Marathon and I could still use some more raffle items, and if you have a business or something like that and you’d like to promote it or would be willing to donate an item to raffle off, I’d love to have it and I’ll give you a shout out here on the blog and across social media and I’ll throw in a sponsored post, too. You can PM me on Facebook or email me at susie@not-your-average-mom.com.
3. I’m considering doing the Whole 30 program because I’m feeling really tired and it could be just life in general, but I want to see if it’s maybe something that is (or isn’t) in my diet but I really can’t imagine not eating peanut butter or having milk in my coffee or not having even one Blue Moon for 3o days, and so I’d love to hear from anyone who has done it.
4. Swati sent me some more pictures and I really want to share them but I think I should probably make sure nobody can swipe them and use them, so all I can say is if you aren’t following her on Instagram you should really check her out (@mammabugbitme).
5. I’ve found some fairly easy and free yoga websites online, and a few of them have weekly or monthly challenges that are not comepletely overwhelming and doable for beginners … Anyone want to do them with me? I was thinking I’d start a closed Facebook group if there was enough interest, and maybe we could start on Monday… Leave a comment here or on the FB page to let me know!
That’s it.
Time to go on puke watch.
TGIF! (sort of)

Whole30 is amazeballs, Susie! It requires a bit of prep but it seems like you do that already and it is truly eye opening. I completed my first round in the month of February and found the 30 days to fly by and I have gotten super creative in the kitchen (mind you its just my husband and I so that makes it a bit easier) … I
Lost zero pounds in doing the program but have adopted a paleo-ish lifestyle in life after whole30 and feel like I found food freedom and much better body image and even have no clue where my scale is in my house…which is really a BFD bc I had/still struggle with some body image stuff when really I am quite healthy… Anyways I’m happy to chat more with you about it, I assume my comment provides you my email addy, feel free to reach out. Love your blog, love the laughs! Oooo and I also recently started daily yoga, I love Leslie fightmaster (seriously that’s her name) on YouTube

I would love to be in the yoga group!! I love it but am so out of shape because of chemo that I am beyond a beginner as far as exercise goes. My Dr said yoga would be great for me to start!

I dud the whole 30. The who’ll thing lasted 20 days. I loved the food. The shopping and planning was hard. I have 5 kids so it was hard to completely make then eat like that too and would have cost too much. But I noticed a difference and an a believer. If you do it, you have to be super organized! And have things ready fir eating on the run to practices or when stressed. I really missed tortilla chips for my salsa. That was sad.
Sara says
*whole. Not who’ll
Connie says
I’ve never done Yoga, but would love to do it. If I’m joining you, I’m sure I can do it!

I would love to do the yoga thing with a group. I would be a beginner but it is something that I have wanted to try. If you have started the group I would love to join. Thanks!
