Today was a long day. A really long day.
I had to be on deck to coach a swim meet at 7:30 this morning.
I rushed out of the meet to catch the rest of Number 3’s baseball game.
And then I rushed home to take a shower and get ready to host a Traveling Vineyard party about 40 minutes away.
I was tired and hadn’t seen the kids all day and since I wouldn’t be home until 9:00 at the earliest, I was a little bummed.
As I hurried to the car, something caught my eye.
It was an envelope in the wreath on the front door.
I stopped, walked back to the door, and got the envelope.
In tiny writing, I read the words, Not Your Average Family.
I opened up the envelope, and saw this:
I laughed.
They must have read yesterday’s post.
So I have no idea who left that on my front door.
But I just want to let you know, whoever you are, if you are reading this, that you made my day.
And your bright spot arrived at just the right time.
Thank you.

With all the talk on the news about how divided we are , and how much everyone hates everyone, it is actions like these that give me hope. We are all going to be okay.

This is hilarious and awesome! The other day I was going through the McDonalds drive-thru (yup! Not ashamed to admit it) and the lady in front of me paid for my order. Granted it was only $1.07 (for my coke) but nonetheless…Faith in Humanity Restored.
