Yeah. Um, I wouldn’t say there is a whole lot of LEARNING going on there…

What the hell happened to TLC?

You know.  The “Learning” Channel?

Remember Trading Spaces?  That show where 2 families would trade houses and redecorate a room in each other’s house in 2 days and for under $1000?

I loved that show.

And I did learn a thing or two every time I watched it.

And then there was Clean Sweep…  A whole crew would come in and help you clean out that room, or even better, rooms in your house that have become the dumping grounds for everything you don’t have the time to put away.

And then they would help you have a kick-ass yard sale.

And then they would completely make over a couple rooms.

You know, since they were already there.

Yeah.  I learned some stuff from that show too.

But can someone tell me this?

What exactly am I going to learn from Toddlers and Tiaras?

Or Honey Boo Boo?

I mean, besides the fact that there are kids out there who suck way worse than mine?

Two days ago, I saw an ad for a new one.

Amish Mafia.

Are you kidding me?

An Amish fucking Mafia???

Hey T”L”C…

I’ve got a couple shows to pitch to you…

How about….

I’m Going to Rehab… in a Crack House.

or

Stripper Virgins.

Oooh.  That’s a good one right there.

Yeah.  From now on, all my “learning” will be done watching Bravo.

I may not learn a neat way to spiff up a room for less than $100.

And I may not discover an awesome way to keep my house organized.

But I will learn that no matter how shitty of a job I am doing as a mother, there is some loaded chick, in a mansion, with a super clean house, 2 nannies, and a tight little body who is doing it much worse than me.

I watch a lot of tlc, but I also saw the amish mafia commercial and thought it looked so dumb….also this show about some gross looking women in sin city…ugh. I guess that’s why they changed their name from the learning channel to tlc. They just couldn’t justify the name anymore! Ha!

Don’t forget to set your DVR for TLC’s “Cheer Perfection.” 😉 I am sure it will be right up there with “Dance Moms.”

Right, TLC. The Lobotomy Channel. I realized the switch had been made after waking up drooling w/grey matter oozing out of my left ear after an episode of “Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.”

      It’s on MTV2. or 3… or 4…

I used to say I would never stop watching MTV. I was going to be that cool parent that was not totally out of it. But that didn’t last very long.
