I remember when I was younger – like in my late teens – and my mom and I had just pulled into the parking lot of Caldor.
My mom found a parking spot and as she was getting out of the car she caught a glimpse of her reflection and said “I haven’t even looked in a mirror yet today.”
I was kind of shocked.
I thought to myself HOW THE HECK DO YOU LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING IN A MIRROR FIRST???
Now, in my 54th year, I get it.
I still care about what I look like.
It’s just not important enough to be at the top of the list anymore.
And sometimes – like those Caldor parking lot days – it doesn’t even make the list at all.
