10 Random Things

August 12, 2020 by not your average mom 2 Comments

I’ve been writing a lot of posts that are kind of emotionally draining, so here’s a list of ten random things.

1. I am adding a new business to my empire. I’m super excited about it and I’ll share that with you tomorrow.

2. The past five days have been kind of atypical and I am out of my routine. I miss my routine. I have realized in the last couple days that I need structure and routine to really function efficiently.

3. I went for a nice long walk the other day down a road by my parents’ house. This is a corner on that road.

I think it’s so pretty.

4. This is what Facetiming Number 6 looks like (I was in my pajamas and that was before my haircut today).

5. I got my haircut today for the first time since sometime in February, but I forgot to take a picture.

6. I’m watching Yellowstone. Now I really want to go to Montana. Also Kevin Costner is still easy on the eyes.

7. I would really love to take a year to tour the US in a Winnebago with the kids.

8. I drove past my high school for the first time in like 15 years the other day.

It’s much nicer now than it was when I graduated THIRTY-THREE years ago.

9. We never could agree on a name for our cat so we just call her Kitty.

10. In eighteen days I am driving Number 4 to school. 😭😭😭😭😭

I love this post! Random musings. I know these last several posts have been hard on your heart. Let this be a rest for you and be in a good place for your life tomorrow.
A post a day is different than working out every day or making sure you call your folks everyday- type of commitments. It can be emotional work, which is so much heavier than doing other things.
Maybe 5/7? Be kind to yourself.

I love this…what a great way to take a break from all the heavier stuff you are going through, while still sticking to your goal!
