Cheater Lasagna

Save time and money by using ravioli instead of lasagna noodles and ricotta cheese in this crowd pleasing lasagna!

Ingredients

  • 2-3 jars spaghetti/marinara/pasta sauce
  • 1 bag 4-cheese Kirkland ravioli
  • 8 cups shredded mozzarrella cheese
  • 2 lbs ground turkey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Bring a big pot of water to boil.

  2. While the water is heating up, brown the turkey.

  3. Cook entire bag of ravioli. I under cook it a little bit because it's going in the oven after.

  4. Drain ground turkey and mix with sauce.

  5. Layer in 2 pans. I use the disposable foil ones because you can easily throw them in the freezer. (Costco also sells those).

    Start by putting meat sauce on the bottom of the pan.

  6. Layer ravioli. Nine of them fit perfectly in each layer.

  7. Cover ravioli with sauce, then cover with appx one cup mozzarella cheese. Repeat that so you have three layers of ravioli with the top covered with sauce and cheese. There will only be twelve ravioli left for the top layer, so turn them horizontally

  8. Bake covered at 350° for appx 30 minutes and then uncovered for another 20-30 minutes, depending on your oven.

  9. Eat one tray , and freeze the other. If you don't have a family eight and have some left over, you can freeze the leftovers, put them in a thermos for the kids' lunches, or eat them later in the week on leftover night.
