Not Your Average Fitness Course is open for registration, and it starts on Monday, September 16th.
What is Not Your Average Fitness Course?
It’s a four week course designed to help you take care of yourself every day.
It’s about strengthening your brain and your body.
In particular, the goal is to help you implement one or two healthy habits into your life.
You may have heard that it takes 21 days to make a new habit stick.
You know what?
It takes AT LEAST 21 days to develop a new habit. For most people, it takes longer than that.
One of the reasons many people struggle to make exercise a part of their daily routine is because their goals are too big.
And because when it comes down to it, it’s about establishing habits. That’s what helps us to exercise consistently.
One of my goals is for you to be more active. And we start off by choosing one small, manageable, and personalized habit that will help you achieve that goal.
What I have found over the last four years in developing and fine tuning this course is that we often try to do too much right off the bat. We are motivated and enthusiastic for a couple days when it’s new. Then it’s not new anymore. And it gets boring.
And our original goal becomes unmanageable and we fall off the wagon.
Once we are off the wagon, it can be very difficult to get back on.
This course is not about weight loss. It’s about your emotional and physical health and it’s about your future.
This course is not about the scale and before and after pictures.
It’s about accepting and appreciating your body NOW.
It’s about being an active participant in your children’s lives and setting them up for a healthier future.
It’s about managing stress, depression and anxiety.
And it’s about helping you make manageable changes now so you are healthier, happier and more balanced on October 16th than you were on September 16th.
You don’t need a gym membership. It doesn’t matter how old you are or how heavy you are. I do not pummel you with workouts.
I help you find what works for you. I help you start driving the bus in a different direction.
